Fuck Yeah Real London

There is more to London than just phone boxes, Big Ben and double-decker buses. This is real London. And it's amazing. If you're tired of London, you're tired of life. Enjoy.

Not sure i can endorse this, some of it is a little too close to home…

Yep.

Time Out London drugs survey

Interesting breakdown of drug use and attitudes to drug use in the capital. Bear in mind that this was a survey conducted using the readership only of Time Out readers, and that those likely to be filling in a survey on drugs are people are drug users rather than not. Still interesting results.

Some sample facts:

  • Londoners appear to be mainly of the view than drugs in London are getting weaker rather than stronger.
  • 65% of participants said that cannabis ought to be fully legalised.
  • 69% of respondents said that habitual drug use was a ‘normal’ part of London life.
  • 15% claimed to have dealt drugs.

Replacing bullshit with more appealing bullshit: This is beautiful. Somewhere in the heart of Shoreditch lie a rebel faction called the Shoreditch Department of Advertising Correction.

Their aim? To replace eye lacerating and ill thought out ad campaigns with something that actually engages us, makes us think, instead of telling us what we want or who we should vote for. They’ve even got their own van.

Its quite a noble cause, we are constantly bombarded by offensive advertising and this trend is on the rise. It is always nice to know that someone is doing something about it. I think this idea could use expansion, why not paste pictures of beautiful landscapes over offensive billboards instead of a thought provoking message?

Lets beautify some bleak billboards.

Shoreditch rules.
